Just a bit about me -

Hey y'all! I'm Morgan, a second year medical student in NYC!

I went into college knowing that I wanted to be a physician, but I didn't have a mentor...so I had to figure it all out solo.

I was able to self study and crush the MCAT (with a 519), then I applied to medical school during the 2021-2022 application cycle. I applied to 16 schools, received 14 interview invities, and was accepted to 12 schools. On top of that, I received multiple full-tuition and full cost of attendance scholarships.

I am so thankful that a girl from South Carolina like me is now living out her dream of becoming a physician, and contributing to the 2% of physicians that are Black females.

BUT I don't want to do it alone. My goal is to increase diversity in medicine and guide you on your journey to becoming a physician. LET'S DO IT!

"This course helped me change the mindset with which I was approaching my personal statement. I was able to transform an okay first draft into a stellar, idk if I will ever call it finished, draft. It gave me the tools to craft my story in a way that was representative of the person I am and why I want to pursue a career in medicine."

"Although initially super overwhelming, I am glad to have seen examples to help me with writing. It's also interesting how as pre-meds we have unique but similar reasons as to 'why medicine?' and 'why doctor?'"
